Because I felt like saying Hi!

Long time no see. I miss blogging sometimes, and I have some reasonable excuses like my old computer dying a painful death and work sucking the mighty. I also have not been gaming much at all to speak of. I am currently unsubbed to all games, though I do have some time left in SWTOR, and Fallen Earth is FTP but I haven't installed it on my new rig yet. My most recent gaming has been console based with a little time spent on the new Twisted Metal (don't like the controls much) and SSX (fun but derivative). Solid first post of the year (lol). Hope everyone else is having more fun than me.

Small Adjustments, with more on the horizon

I have made some slight adjustments to my layout. I am trying to get used to my new work schedule and seeing where gaming fits in with everything else I would like to do. I am a gamer so I know that will never change but no game lasts forever.....

Back in the game!

Well I logged back in setup my addons and created a couple new characters over on Grimms server. I am now a member of Eff the Ineffable. It seems like an awesome place to hang out, guild chat was busy without being annoying, everybody seemed pretty cool and there are some much more well known bloggers than me. I almost had a bit of a Fanboy moment when I heard who one of our guildies was, but I restrained myself. I was shocked someone in the guild besides Grimm had actually heard of me. First time in game someone I didn't know or contact first actually had heard of me. I have to admit that was kind of cool. So we will see how the return to the world (of warcraft) goes but for now fun is the rule, and tonight was pretty fun. I ran thorough the new Gnome starting area which is pretty well done if I must say, a little short compared to the newest races but you can't have everything lol. I am not quite ready to commit to transferring anything over but we'll see how it goes. So anyways, its good to be back

There is a great discussion going on here. I hope you can take the time to read and if you feel like it post what you think of this. I am against having to use Real-ID to post on the forums. I know there are many reasons why this isn't good and I hope Blizzard sees how wrong this is.

Next time I make plans to post more remind me not to pick the end of June

The end of June happens to coincide with me knowing 14(maybe more) people with birthdays in a 3 week period, plus I am going to a wedding next weekend so I have a ton of free time on my hands right. My Moms birthday was last week, three days after Fathers day and so I keep a busy end of June schedule. I know this so really its my own fault. I have not even hardly logged into WOW since Wednesday. I ran Ahune to try for the pet a couple times which thanks to the new LFD tool takes like 3 minutes. No luck but another week left so I'll keep trying.

I have been clearing out my feed-reader lately so I can add some more blogs to it and I have some I just can't remove no matter how long its been. This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the Bloggers I miss just a few that I really enjoyed.

Mortigan The Lock.
For those of you that read Mortigan for the short time he was blogging you know he had a unique voice and was really hilarious. His post on rules of raiding was a widespread success. His blog is no longer up, and one of his last posts had to do with having a new addition to his family so I hope all is well with him.

WTFspaghetti - A Random Warcraft Blog
This blog was the one that actually got me to level my shaman. Always an awesome read. I hope they start posting again sometime. I miss the sense of humor and the people that commented always kept good post discussions going.

No More /Cheer.
Another blog that is gone from blogger I don't know what happened but the whole blog is gone. This was one of the bloggers who was one of my first commenter's and always had great comments and was very nice. Also had great posts too.

I know there are many more bloggers who have come and gone and some of them have also been great and amazing but as a blogger with a smaller following its the ones that I was an avid reader and commenter and always got great responses from them that I miss the most. Always know if your out there that your welcome back anytime.

We're getting there

We got Putricide to 16% last night. I think we will probably get him down next week if we blow through the first part as fast as we have been. I actually took my shaman in this week through the first 5 bosses. I got a ton of offspec gear lol. I did get a nice staff to use for a while too. I think I'm gonna start posting more regularly here too. I've started to get some ideas for posts and I want to get them all down before I forget them.

Link for tanks of all ages

Veneretio posted a back to basics post on his blog. I think everyone who has ever or will ever tank should read it because even though he is giving warrior advice most of the stuff he talks about will help any tank (except maybe bears but some of the stuff is good for them too). I really liked the last paragraph of his post because I really think its the most important part.

You haven’t really talked about Gear
You’re right. I haven’t. Tanking is more about how you use your gear than the gear itself. So, training yourself in how to tank, how to enchant, gem and spec are all more important than how to find the loot you want. The reality is once you start raiding, you aren’t going to get exactly what you want. You take what you can get and you make the best of it.

His blog is always a great read and very informative and has really helped me be a better tank even though my rage bar is blue and not red ;)

I have not been posting much lately, not giving it up lol just been under the weather and not doing much of anything but, I have been feeling better the last day or 2 so I should get back to posting my semi-regular rants and failboat storys. Thanks

I've been blogging for a year

Wow (irony I know) I just realised I have been blogging for a year now. I started this as just a way to chronicle what my guild members and I were doing and my first post was just a simple armory post about my main. Also looking back theres a note about looking up my priest in my small leveling guild, which he's no longer in that guild, having been promoted to our main guild quite a while ago. Its funny how much changes in a year that you wouldn't even think of. We had not even got into Kara yet at that point and now we are raiding Naxx. I am glad to note we have almost the same team together from that time though. I am glad we have been able to mostly stick together (Shir your temporary dalliances with other guilds not withstanding lol). I think we have a strong team going forward and will only get better as we move forward into the more challenging content. More fun will be had and more blogs will be written so your all stuck with me since I've kept at it this long.

New Post! About time you say

I know, just when I had started posting semi-regularly, I stop for a week. Well, sorry just didn't have anything to post about. I am doing little piddly things during the week, dailies and mining and a few quests on some of my alts. Nothing big to report, no big news coming from the PTR and not much to say. Hopefully I will have more to talk about in the upcoming weeks as I am planning on putting a VoA run on the calender in the next 2 weeks, which will be the first Wotlk raid for our guild. I have high hopes though and since VoA is fairly easy it should be a good intro for our guild and hopefully get them excited about getting into more raids.

Yes, still here, with many blog post stewing in my brain I've just been playing the game and watching many many movies that I haven't felt the need to post of late. If you haven't watched Real Genius in a long time check it out for a laugh. The dated clothes and the timeless humor coexist awfully well if, like me you grew up in that era.

Following the masses

I was reading through the blogroll today and noticed that everybody was posting on a meme about who there first commenter was and so I went back and looked and found it was the esteemed blogger from WOWBlogger who happened to post on a short post I did about the summer slowdown in WOW with some good advice of going outside.
